"I've been a fan from the beginning and will continue to be! Dr. Peet's TalkWriter for Windows is an absolutely wonderful talking/singing word processor for the novice reader/writer. It's the only talking word processor that includes the ABCs and an E-mail internet-safe wizard to make it a complete package for early literacy learning. The music-driven menu buttons capture the learner's immediate attention as the open-ended letter and word exploration gives the preschooler control over the learning process." Madalaine K.

"One of the great things about Dr. Peet's TalkWriter is that the designers have not succumbed to the temptation to 'dress it up' with a lot of bells and whistles. The program retains its large type and simple screens, which are easy for children to see and use ...Phonetic spellings are okay here, since the text-to-speech feature uses real phonics rules to blend sounds into words." by

"The Headstart students and I thought Dr. Peets TalkWriter was a great program! Where else can you hear the Alphabet Song sung in harmony! Other things we liked best about Dr. Peet are the ease with which a child can explore the program; the universal access features for students with disabilities, especially the scanning/switch capabilities; the Write Words choice which enables a child to learn about the English language through the discovery mode; and the recognition of inventive spelling. Not important to the children, but certainly to me, the adult, are the Guide Menu which includes a user friendly guide to allow for individualization of the program and the Help Menu which describes the Program Operations."
